CUBI Forum Regulations

The main rule to be applied is that the Forum will be open to everyone who is committed to contribute. Any reasonable contribution will be welcomed: results of calculations or field measurements, experimental techniques, mathematical methods, numerical tools, ideas for investigation, etc.

A Joint Data Bank will be established representing the Core of the Forum. All information to be shared will be pooled through the Data Bank. Submission to the Data Bank and retrieval data from it will be done in a secure format (protection of correspondence, control of downloaded information, etc.).

The Forum Administrator is responsible for generating these formats and distributing them to the Forum participants. He/she will also be responsible for setting up the Data Bank Format, as he/she is responsible for the book-keeping of the information flow to and from the Data Bank.

Anyone who wishes to participate in the CUBI Forum is supposed to contact the Forum Administrator to be included into the Forum Participants List. At this time, the participant must sign a Letter of Commitment by which he states firmly his/her commitment to participate in an active manner to the Forum. The Forum Participants List will be part of the Joint Data Bank and as such will be available to each participant.

The CUBI Data Bank operates on a qui-pro-quo basis: A participant can retrieve data form the Data Bank only if he/she has inputted information or if he/she is firmly prepared to do so after having achieved results based upon the data taken from the bank. The later case is – of course – a matter of trust and integrity.
